We’re Delighted to Announce a New Sponsorship Deal!

The Society can now confirm that we will be the main sponsors of the Dragons rugby team for the next three seasons! This is an exciting opportunity for the Society to really own our region and heartlands.

The deal will allow us to have a bigger presence, promote our brand in front of a wider audience, and help the society engage with the communities around us.

There are many different aspects to the deal, and we will be sharing these with our colleagues and members along the way.

Monmouthshire Building Society, Interim Chief Executive, Will Carroll added: “I am delighted that the Society will be partners with the Dragons for the next three years.

“The region is in an exciting period of change, much like our business. The partnership shows our continued support for the communities within the region and our heartlands.

“We wish the team every success in the coming season.”

Over recent months there has been increased press surrounding the Dragons who are undergoing a huge transformation since the WRU have taken over the club, providing much needed investment. This is a club that is on the up! They have a new pitch, new coach and there has been investment in the facilities and people, enabling a long-term realistic sustainable plan to be created.

Dragons CEO Stuart Davies commented: “This investment from Monmouthshire Building Society is as timely as it is welcome and we would like to thank them, not just for their support now and over the years, but for their loyalty to us as we moved through a significant period of transition this summer.

“They have put their faith in us at the beginning of this new start, they share our vision for the future of the Dragons and see the potential for success both on and off the pitch.

“The contribution Monmouthshire Building Society has made to the future sustainability of the Dragons is the largest single sponsorship in our history in monetary terms and is a great example of what can be done when the true potential of the region is released.
